1) household, housekeeping; reisa, setja búnað = reisa, gøra bú, to set up a household; fara búnaði sínum = fara búferli, to remove one’s household;
2) equipment, dress, = búningr;
3) preparations (for a voyage, freebooting expedition, etc.);
4) = búningr 4.
